Love the design of this game.


Good Game!


Game was pretty good. It has some great ambience and sound design already, though it was fairly clunky and barebones. The charger bug that pushed me through a wall and made me have to restart the game twice was not great, and the way the player character would get stuck on walls was also quite annoying. Still, with that out the way, I would still say that this was fun to play and I love me some reloading mechanics.

i faced depresiion when it ended this was so good the mechanics where smooth and the source engine sounds! loved it 11/10

Very epic demo. Hope for the full game to come out soon. love the antagonists. and the gun mechanics give the game a challenge

I had a good time with this one, despite my own skill limitations.

This game looks awesome! Really loving the concept of half bodied monsters! Is there a full version plan in the future?

Played it twice and twice almost shat myself :D Really good atmosphere in my opinion. The reloading system is now my favorite :D Really enjoyed it.

The reloading mechanics are very cool in concept, but just end up annoying. Would've been nice if we could hold R instead of it being a toggle, and if being in reload mode slowed you down a bit less. Also, I feel a little lost in a source-like without a jump button...

this game was awesome but a few complaints. highlighted stuff in bold for better skim reading but its best to read all the light yapping

for one the reloading system is baller and made for some really tense moments (reminds me a bit of outlaws too), but i think the button to load should be switched to LMB. also, it shouldnt put the gun outside of the reload mode after pressing a mouse button when you cannot load anything, just maybe play some error sound and shake the gun or something... though for the shotgun it would be funny if the character attempts to load a shell but completely fails and drops the shell he has lol

also, i think pressing RMB to pump the shotgun is a bit goofy. it should just happen by pressing LMB again after firing, would feel alot cleaner

only complaints other than that is the animations are a bit boring and undetailed, there was a few times i got stuck in a corner from an enemy, etc. nitpicky stuff


theres serious potential for this weapon system though, like this would work great for a resident evil style survival horror! or a action horror w/ survival elements more similar to resident evil 4/dead space! ... can you tell i like resident evil💀

I personally prefer how the reloading system is currently, something about it being so manual makes me really like it

i mean none of my suggestions really hurt the reloading system, just make it feel less jank and switch around the binds. if anything it makes it more manual with the "not stopping reload on click" suggestion

This game was great and really enjoyable with it's addition of memes at the beginning. But I did encounter a bug that is shown on the video 6:51 - 7 that allowed the monster to push me off the map.

 

I love this game

This brought back a level of nostalgia I almost forgot I had. Can truly see your passion shine while playing this. Some good spooky moments too and I love the shotgun mechanic. Fun game!

This was great! *very* rough around the edges, definitely needs a lot more polish, but I can absolutely see beautiful, shiny chunk of gold underneath.  Ambience is great, graphics are great, the shotgun mechanics are fantastic, etc. 

My main complaint is that the enemies are sort of boring.  There are three types of enemy seen in this demo:

1. disembodied legs (see second pic).  They walk towards you, dealing damage if they get too close, and take 2 shots from the shotgun to kill.  Nothing special, but that's fine for a simple grunt enemy.

2. chargers (see third pic).  A bit more interesting than the first enemy type, as they can charge at you, making them tougher to deal with.  Their size causes them to get stuck occasionally which can be used to your advantage, but there really aren't any times in the demo where you can effectively take advantage of this.  They take 3 shotgun shots to kill, and have pretty much no counters.  Maybe they could have difficulty turning and stopping once they've started charging so you can dodge out of the way? I can see that combined with wider, more open spaces making for a much more interesting enemy type.

3. Big Boi (no pic).  There's only one at the very end of the demo, which you encounter in a larger room with various pieces of furniture scattered about, as well as a lot of other enemies.  Unfortunately, it seems to have the same AI as the first enemy type, sort of just running at you and dealing damage if it gets too close, made somewhat more intimidating by its larger health pool and increased speed.  I can definitely see this guy working as a sort of mini boss enemy, though it could absolutely use some better AI, maybe some attacks that you have to watch out for other than just walking towards you.  

A wider variety of weapons would also make the game much more interesting, especially if each weapon has its own strength and weaknesses.  Maybe the shotgun could stun enemies and do a large amount of damage while having somewhat rare ammo and bad range? If you wanted to make it even more interesting you could give each weapon a unique effect, tailored to deal with certain enemies/situations. 

this was the second game I played in my video and I enjoyed it I liked the half life stuff and thought the game play was fun I hope to see more :)

This little masterpiece deserves a full game and I am down to pay for it any minute of the day, great job.

Man, I got a lot of scares in this game, very good XD

Edit: But the boss is too hard, you should smooth out the difficulty.

Ho amato lo stile del gameplay e onestamente spero riusciate a lavorare per farci un gioco completo.
Il mood è inquietante e abbastanza ansiogeno ma appena capisci che sei tu il cacciatore e non il cacciato il gioco inizia a prendere un altro gusto.

A good ol' rock 'em sock 'em game!
Always enjoyed a good meat grinder action, sending demonic entities back to hell.
Cant wait for the follow up, gj!

Amazing job here; you've somehow totally snagged my imagination, and I loved every second of it. The creepy atmosphere, fairly unique enemies, the simplicity, the excellent gun handling, it all just adds up to an excellent experience. Solid 9.5/10, and the half is really just the color correction. I cannot wait to see the full game, keep up the great work!

Really nice, I like the HL2 inspiration and the atmosphere is great. I miss bhopping though :clueless:

Once I realized you can scroll the weapon wheel the game mechanics made a lot more sense. As others have mentioned, the reload idea is cool and I liked the stark atmosphere which reminded me of Pony Factory. I assume that was an inspiration? Great job with this demo-- it shows a lot of promise and I wish you good luck on future projects!

I loved this game, I enjoyed the racking the shotgun mechanic.

10/10 but I feel like the character sticks to the walls a lot.
